Privacy Policy

Article 1 (Personal Information)

“Personal information” refers to “personal information” as defined by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, and includes information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions contained in such information, as well as data related to facial appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance policy numbers, and other personally identifying information.

Article 2 (Methods of Collection)

The Company may ask users to provide personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number when registering for the Service. The Company may also obtain transaction records including personal information and payment-related information between users and business partners, and other information from partners (including information providers, advertisers, and ad distributors).

Article 3 (Purposes of Use)

The Company uses personal information for the following purposes:

• To provide and operate the Service
• To respond to inquiries from users (including identity verification)
• To send emails about services in use, new features, updates, campaigns, and other services offered by the Company
• To contact users as necessary for maintenance and important notices
• To identify users who violate the Terms or use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse their use
• To allow users to view or change their registration information, delete it, and view their usage status
• To charge fees to users for paid services
• For purposes incidental to the above purposes of use

Article 4 (Changes to the Purposes of Use)

The Company may change the purposes of use of personal information only if the changed purposes are reasonably related to the original purposes. In the event of such changes, the Company will notify users or publicly announce the changed purposes in a manner prescribed by the Company.

Article 5 (Provision to Third Parties)

Except in the cases set forth below, the Company will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

When requested by a user to disclose personal information, the Company will disclose it without delay to the user. However, the Company may refuse disclosure in whole or in part if disclosure would likely (i) harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the user or a third party, (ii) significantly hinder the proper execution of the Company’s business, or (iii) violate laws or regulations. A fee of 1,000 JPY per request may be charged for disclosure.

• Other cases that violate laws or regulations

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion)

If a user requests correction, addition, or deletion (“Correction, etc.”) of personal information on the grounds that such information is inaccurate, the Company will conduct necessary investigations without delay and, if it is deemed necessary, will make the Correction, etc., and notify the user without delay.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use, etc.)

If a user requests the suspension or deletion (“Suspension, etc.”) of the use of personal information on the grounds that it is used beyond the scope of the purposes of use or was obtained by wrongful means, the Company will conduct necessary investigations without delay and, if deemed necessary, will implement the Suspension, etc., and notify the user without delay. If the Suspension, etc. requires excessive costs or is otherwise difficult to implement, the Company will take alternative measures necessary to protect the user’s rights and interests.

Article 9 (Changes to the Policy)

Except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations or by this Policy, the Company may change the contents of this Policy without notice to users. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Policy will become effective when posted on this website.
